Daily Routine

Morning
Our day begins at 7:00 a.m. with early arrivals. The early morning program is designed to ease into the day quietly. By 9:00 a.m. everyone is ready to greet the morning nursery school class and together begin the more structured part of the program. This program follows the general schedule outlined below. The morning Activity Choices time block includes Art, Science, Math, Dramatic Play, Library Time, Block Building, Movement Room, and snack.

9:00 - 9:10 Arrivals and Greetings
9:00 - 9:20 Quiet Choice Activities
9:20 - 9:40 Circle Time (small group with primary teacher)
9:40 - 10:30 Activity Choices
10:30- 10:45 Clean-up and Bathroom
10:45- 11:15 Outside Program
11:15- 11:30 Wrap-up Meeting
11:30 Departure for some, lunch preparation for others
11:45- 12:00 Wash-up and Bathroom
12:00- 12:30 Lunch and preparation for quiet time
Early Afternoon and Late Afternoon
After lunch, all preschoolers have quiet time. Those who need to sleep, rest on their own cot in a resting room and supervised by a teacher.

12:45 - 2:00 Nap time for some, quiet time for others
2:00 - 3:00 Activity Choice and Snack
3:00 - 4:30 Outside Program
4:30 - 5:00 Activity Choices, inside and outside
5:00 - 6:00 Clean-up, table time activities, and departures
